My Favorite Things Stamps...WSC # 220 & ColourQ # 283...Sending Big Hugs!

Hey stampin' friends! Seems like I've been colouring up a lot of cute little animals these days, which I LOVE, but I've missed colouring up this cute PI girl! I thought I'd colour up Sending Big Hugs and join the MFTWSC Sketch Challenge # 220, while I'm at it!

I needed a little colour inspiration for this card...the ColourQ Challenge was perfect and they've extend the ColourQ # 283 deadline! Finally, I just learned about the House of Cards Challenge (Thanks Mynn for letting me know about it) and the challenge is to use enamel dots...ummm, If you've visited my blog before then you know I have a serious addiction to YNS Gumdrops, so I'm entering this card in the March House of Cards Challenge!

Here is the fun sketch that they have this week for the MFTWSC # 220

Here's the great colour combo that they have over at the ColourQ Challenge # 283

I used MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Black Licorice, Steel Blue, Kraft,
Factory Green and Primitive White

I coloured the Pure Innocence Sending Big Hugs girl with my Copics and paper pieced her dress with Authentique Peaceful 6X6 papers. I used the Fishnet Stencil and inked randomly with Forest Moss Distress Ink. I used my Circle STAX and Stitched Circle STAX and layered over the scalloped border from Blueprints 14, the Kraft cardstock is cut with the washi-tape die from Blueprints 13 and the flowers are from Blueprints 3. I stamped the sentiment from the PI Sending Big Hugs Stamp set with Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink directly on the main panel that is cut with die from Blueprints 13. I embellished with some green AC Twine and a smattering of YNS Sparkly Silver Gumdrops.

I finished off the inside of my card...I stamped a shadow image of the PI Sending Big Hugs girl in Factory Green Premium Dye Ink and stamped another sentiment from the set on the fishtail banner from Blueprints 12. I used the Layered Treat Label Die-namics and the FABULOUS Horizontal Stitched Strips, which I never put away cuz I used them ALL the time ;)

Thanks SO much for stoping by and havin' a wee peek at my Pure Innocence card for the MFTWSC # 220 Sketch Challenge and for the ColourQ # 283

I've been seeing so many beautiful cards with a watercolour wash background that I thought I would give it a try! So, I set my Copic markers aside, pulled out my Peerless Watercolours, watercolour paper and the NEW The Buzz Stamp set. I used the Watercolour Wash Technique to make the background panels and added some splatters with Heidi Swap Teal Color Shine. I stamped the bee hive, large bee and tiny bee with VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink, watercolored them too, cut them out with the coordinating The Buzz Confetti Cuts and popped them up on the panel cut with the Documented Confetti Cuts.

I stamped this sweet sentiment from the NEW The Buzz Stamp set with VersaFine Vintage Sepia Ink directly on the background panel. I cut out the sun with the NEW Sun'n Clouds Confetti Cuts from some water colour paper that was painted with yellow Peerless Watercolours and added a little circle to the centre of the sun that I cut with the small circle die from the Donut You Know Confetti Cuts. I embellished with some brown cord layered over a little flower from the NEW The Tweet Life Confetti Cuts and a sprinkling of yellow Gumdrops fished it off.

I finished off the inside of my card too...I stamped another sentiment from the NEW The Buzz Stamp set and added another watercoloured bee hive and stamped a shadow image of the tiny bee with VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.

Thanks SO much for buzzing by and having a little peek at my card with the NEW The Buzz Stamp set and coordinating The Buzz Confetti Cuts. All the stamps and Confetti Cuts are NOW Available over at the Reverse Confetti Store
