Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge # 8....Music....A friend...!

Good morning Krafty galz! I have a quick post this morning to share a card that I made for the challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge blog. This week the challenge is MUSIC...love my tunes, love this challenge and I'm totally loving Kenny K digi stamps!!! The Glam Gang images are my fave and are so much fun to colour!

Well, for my card I just had to colour up this cutie, Rock Chick! Did you know that I was totally a Rocker/Heavy Metal chick in High School...OMGosh these images are bringing back memories, lol!
Well, back to the card...I used some MME papers and teamed it up with some AC cardstock and some Prima flowers with "metal" Making Memories flower brads in the centers. I had to add some ribbon and bling too...I just can't seem to make a card without it,smile! I coloured up Rock Chick with my Copics and cut her out with my Nesties and inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink. I left the image in the die and used it as a stencil! Oh and I found a really great little tip (I can't remember where I saw it...sorry...EDITED I found the link to the YouTube Video here) for cutting a small mat for your image. I use my Finger Grip craft Knife and cut going around the outside of the die! This is much better than how I was doing it before just tracing the outer edge and then cutting with the scissors.

Here is the inside....I thought this C.C. Designs sentiment was perfect for this card!
Well, Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card!
Have a Rockin' day!

My Favorite Things...WSC Challenge...Floral Fantsay!

Good morning crafty friends! I am back again with another card to share with you! This time I made this card for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge which is Floral Fantasy! I used one of my adorable little Pure Innocence Girls for this card. This cutie is actually from the Easter stamp set, My Basket of eggs, but I covered the eggs in her basket with Flower Soft. I also paper pieced her dress with Scenic Route pp and coloured the rest of the image with my Copics and cut her out and pop-dotted her on the Nestie rectangle.

I used this gorgeous Scenic Route paper that I had in my stash....not much of it left now. I will be very sad when it is all gone...love it soooo much! I also used some more of my new found love, crinkled seam binding! This is MS Seam Binding from Micheals that I have had in my stash forever and I just crinkled it myself which was super easy to do! There are a few great YouTube videos available if you are interested here and here. I tied this messy double bow with a button and I think it kind of looks like a flower. I stamped part of the sentiment from another MFT PI set (don't know the name off hand) on the front.

and then stamped the rest of the sentiment on the inside panel.

Thanks for stopping by and having a week peek at my card!
Have a stampin' great day!

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge # 7....Donna's Sketch....You're one in a Million!

Hey Krafty Girlz!!! This is my first Kenny K challenge with my very first Kenny K Digi Stamp and I'm totally in love...don't know what took me so long to get some of these cuties but I am so glad I finally did! I absolutely loved colouring Download Diva with my Copics and can't wait to colour up some of the other images I got! I made this card following Donna's fabulous sketch over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge!

I have been really admiring the gorgeous vintage crinkled seam binding that I have seen on so many fabulous cards lately. I spotted some recently on Kathy's gorgeous cards and I e-mailed her about it. Well, I went in search of some on Etsy as Kathy told me she had found some there and then I discovered that I had some Martha Stewart seam binding in my stash all this time....score! I also found videos on YouTube on how to crinkle your own seam binding and you can also dye it with Glimmer Mist too....check it out here and here....it's super easy and looks fabulous!

So, I made this card with Echo Park pp again and added some bling, Prima flowers and Mellisa Frances rub-on sentiments to finish it off.

Here is the inside...I think I'm going to give this card to my friend's teenage daughter for her b-day...I think she is really going to like Download Diva!

Well, thanks for stopping by and having a peek at my first Kenny K card...I think you will be seeing more as I definitely love these funky images.

Have a stampin' great day!

Just Magnolia # 69 and CCT # 126...Best Wedding Wishes!

Hello friends! Hope you had a restful weekend with a little crafting thrown in for good measure! I did but it was a little drab though being overcast and raining off and on. Well, back to the grind stone today! Well, before I head off to work, I thought I would post this card that I made yesterday for my friend. Her sister is getting married in October. I made this card following the challenge over at Just Magnolia Challenge...Let's get Sentimental and I used Fern's gorgeous sketch at Cute Card Thursday!

I used the Pink Paislee Queen Bee paper again as I just love it and it is the perfect papers for my friend's, sister's wedding....such a gorgeous colour combo. I have been dieing to ink up this sweet stamp of Tilda and Edwin tying the knot....love the beach theme to this image....so romantic. I made my easel card 6x6 from Colorbok cardstock and I used the Magnolia Doohickey border die Tilda's lace...just love this border it is soooo pretty and the dies work like a dream. I also used some American Crafts fabric rose trim....in a buttery yellow and it is just so scrumptious!

The Sentiments are Melissa Frances rub-ons and I really love the sentiment on the bottom of the easel card, it is a chipboard sentiment by Colorbok.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card today!

Happy stampin'!

Just Magnolia # 69, FS# 1116...Thank You...!

Good morning crafty peeps! Hope you had some time to get crafty this weekend! I played in my craft room yesterday and made this card for the Just Magnolia Challenge...Let's Get Sentimental and I used the great sketch by Beatrix over at Friday Sketchers .I just flipped it to go with my sentiment.

I was so excited to join in the JM sentimental challenge as I just got this great My Favourite Things die and stamp set, Di-namics Framed Greetings and stamps set and I used one of the sentiments from this MFT promo set....perfect for this challenge! I also used some new paper that I picked up at Stampin' Bella the other day after I went to the migraine doc. I just absolutely adore this delish paper called Echo Park Paper Co. this collection is called Life is Good...it sure is, with gorgeous paper like this, to play with, smile!

And, of course, I used a sweet Magnolia image, Tilda with three flowers, from the Hoppy Easter collection. I coloured the image with my Copics, cut it out and adhered it with pop-dots. I added some American Crafts ribbon, Prima flowers and half pearls to finish it off. I also spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Gold just to give it a soft sparkle.

Thanks so much for stopping by again today and having a wee peek at my card!

Happy stampin'!

New BasicGrey Challenge # 27....Fabric....Loving you!

Good morning crafty friends! I hope all is well and you are enjoying what is left of summer. It's starting to cool off a bit around here and it is definitely cooler in the evenings...starting to get a little crispness in the air and Mother Nature is hinting at fall, me thinks, which is fine with me as it is my favourite season.

Well, It is time for the BasicGrey Challenge and again we have another fun challenge for you! We would like to see some Fabric on your creation! I had a lot of fun with this challenge and the BG DT have made such gorgeous and inspirational creations for you so have a visit to the BasicGrey Challenges blog and then I hope you can join us at some point over the next 2 weeks! Just remember to use at least one BasicGrey item on your creation.

For my card I used BG Origins paper, an Origins canvas tag, an Origins Fabric Brad, and some Wassail brads. I also used some green scalloped velvet trim. I am trying to use some the stamps that I just "had" to have and then never inked up. So, I coloured up this sweet TGF Miss Anya from the Miss Anya Love set. She is darling and I loved colouring her with my Copics. I tried a new technique that I saw on Angie's blog ScrapGirl in her tutorial section and I just love it. I still need to practice with it though. I used a dry shading brush and Pumice Stone Distress ink to create some deep shadows. I didn't do too much as I am still getting the hang of it but I really like how it made the highlighted pleats in her skirt pop!

Here is the inside of the card. The sentiment is one of Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card today! I hope you can join us with your fabric creations!

Whiff of Joy Challenge # 85...Door Hanger...Fun in the Sun!

Hey crafty friends! Glad you could pop by for the new Challenge we have at the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog! We would like to see just how creative you can get....we would like you to make a fun door hanger! Just remember you need to use a Whiff of Joy image to be eligible for any prize that we may be offering up! The WOJC DT has such gorgeous and creative ideas for you!!! I am sure you will be inspired to join the fun!!!

So here is my door hanger...there is a little story to go along with this creation...well, as you know we have been on several camping trips this summer...so on our trip to Arrowhead Provincial Park we stopped at a cute Cottage/beachy type shop and both Hannah and I ended up getting theses adorable flip flops...we got the same ones except mine are brown and black.

aren't they cute...well, When I saw the little chipboard hanger that they were on I knew I had the perfect use for it too! I love using beautiful clothing tags and re-purposing package for my crafty creations.

So I covered the chipboard in pp from the Pink Paislee Queen Bee paper pad and sanded all the the edges with my hand dandy BasicGrey Precision file set. It really comes in handy to get into the tight spots. I then coloured up this adorable image of Henry basking in the sun with a cool adult beverage in "paw",lol! I made the little panel from Colorbok cardstock and cut two and glued them together to make it a little more sturdy. I hung it with some ribbon from the hanger and I punched all the holes with my Crop-A-Dile...even the ones in the very thick chipbord hanger...could not live without my Crop-A-Dile!!!!

I used my bow easy for the first time...well, I have attempted it before but with no luck! So, I looked up a video on YouTube and plunked down in front of the computer and followed along step by step! YAY! I finally have me a bow easy bow...well two in fact!!! I embellished with a few Prima flowers, and pearls and printed the message on the computer. The top sentiment "Fun in the Sun" is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Well, I am really happy how this turned out...I have to confess this is not my front door...mine doesn't look that good, he, he,he! So, I drove over to my mom and dad's to take the pic. Well, my Dad even loved this little creation of mine! He called me to ask where I put it, after I left his place and I said I brought it home with me...he was so disappointed! I think he really likes little Henry.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my door hanger...I hope you can join us at the Whiff of Joy Challenge!

Happy Stampin'!!!

SS#115, Magnolia Down Under #58, CCT # 124...Cherish!

Hey crafty friends back again with another card...boy, oh, boy, am I on a roll here or what, smile?! I made this card on Saturday following along with a few challenges. My friend requested this card as her sister's Bridal Shower is coming up at the end of the month!

I made this card following the gorgoues sketch over at Sketch Saturday and I am also entering it in the challenge at Magnolia down Under...Easel cards, Cute Card Thursday...Whateva....Creative Inspirations....Recipe (5 flowers, 3 papers and ribbon)!

I inked up this sweet Tilda with Peony and also used the Magnolia Heart and script background stamp. I stamped it with embossing ink and used Northern Lights embossing powder for the first time. I just got it at Crop Circles on Helen's recommendation and it is super sparkly and gorgeous. I also bought these gorgeous papers, Pink Paislee Queen bee paper...just love this 6x6 pad and they were the perfect colours for my friend's, sister's wedding!

I embellished with some WOC flowers and some other flowers from my stash, some gorgeous ribbon and lace, some pearls and MF rub-ons for the sentiments.

Well, thanks for popping by and having a wee peek at my card today! I will be back on Wednesday with another fun Whiff of Joy Challenge so come back and see what fun we have planned for you starting this Wednesday!

Just Magnolia # 67, FS# 114, MDU#58, CCT #124...Let the Fairy in you Fly!

Hey crafty friends! I am back with another card today! I spent the day yesterday in my craft room stampin' and playing with pretty paper instead of cleaning my house. I know I should have done my chores first but there is just so much camping gear everywhere that I don't even know where to start, lol! So I will put it off for another day or two,he, he, he!

I needed to make a card for a girl at work. She has been working in our office on contract and she just found out that she has been accepted into the Interpreter Internship Program...very exciting for her but means she will be leaving us soon. Well, I thought I would make her a card to congratulate her on this wonderful accomplishment and exciting new journey to furthering her career goal to becoming an interpreter. It was also a chance for me to play along with some of my favorite challenges!

I used the gorgeous sketch that they have over at Friday Sketchers and I'm also entering this card in the challenge at Just Magnolia...Acetate, the challenge over at Magnolia Down Under...easel card and the challenge at Cute card Thursday...Whateva!!!

I made the card from Colorbok and American Crafts cardstock with October Afternoon paper and used this gorgeous new Tilda image that I haven't inked up yet! Well, actually, Hannah has used her so she has seen some love, smile! I really love the grunge look that Inge gets around the edges of her images but I don't have any of those fab grunge stamps that she has so I looked around my room and tried to find something that would work. I found a camouflage background stamp from a Technique Tuesday set. I thought I would see what that would look like. It was a little risky as I had already coloured my image. I wasn't happy at first but as the Distress ink in Old Paper dried it started to look a little better.

The sketch called for a tag and so I used one of the many clothing tags that I keep and re-purposed it on this card. The cute flowers where on clearance and I think they were 25 cents for a package of 4. For the acetate I used QuicKutz Adhesive Clear Plastic Material and die cut the QuicKutz butterflies and then coated the adhesive side with Glamour Dust. The sentiments are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card! I don't think I am going to get much house work done today either....just not in the mood...I hear my stamps calling me again, lol!

Hope you have a stampin' great day!

I made my cardbase 6x6 from American Crafts cardstock and used my Green at Heart 6x6 papers! I had to whip this card up before we left on our camping trip last week and so I used one of my Pure Innocence stamps, Make Mine a Double, from My Favourite Things. They are great when you need to make a quick card. This little PI girl is soooo cute and has a cool treat in hand...yum-o! I made the sentiment from another PI set called Lollipop Girl. This little PI girl was so quick to colour and I paper pieced her dress too! I cut the image out with my rectangle Nesties and left the image in the die and sponged the background with Distress inks. I added a few tiny pearls to her shoes and some clear glaze pen too! To embellish I added lots of pearls, some Prima flowers and this yummy ribbon that I bought at Stamping Bella a while ago and that I totally need more of,lol!

Here is the inside...I used one of the sentiments that comes in the Make Mine a Double set, a couple of flowers and more pearls!
