My Favorite Things Stamps...May Release Rewind...MPD - Dandelion Wishes/Dandelion Stems and Toppers

Hello Stampin' friends!  Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT May Release Rewind! Today I am featuring the  NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes,  the NEW Dandelion Stems and Toppers and the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks from the May release that are AVAILABLE NOW in the MFT Boutique!

I made a 12x12 layout and I used this May PageMaps sketch...although I deviated quite a bit and I'm not sure it resembles the sketch now but it was a great starting off point!

So this is my first attempt at a little "Mixed Media"...I just stuck my baby toe in to test the water and I really enjoyed it, of course MFT made it SO easy with Mona's New line and the fun NEW Stencil.  I'm quite happy with how my page turned out too! I used these pretty Bo Bunny Prairie Chic 12x12 papers. The photo is one of my faves of my daughter Hannah while camping at Balsam Lake Provincial Park while hiking the Plantation Trail. I printed the 5X7 in Black and White and matted it on MFT Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock.

I used the NEW Mini Chicken Wire Stencil and Light Modeling Paste to add some dimension and texture here and there. After the modeling paste dried I thought it need a little extra something so I pulled out my Metallic Rub-ons that I've had in my stash for ever...I used the Yellow Gold and rubbed it over the dried Light Modeling Paste...it was the perfect little addition! I also stamped the sentiment from the NEW Laina Lamb Design - Document It - Right on Target Stamp set, stamped on pattern paper cut with the Bracket Tab Die-namics with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink and tucked it under the edge of the photo.

Here you can see the texture with the Light Modeling Paste applied over the NEW Mini Chicken Wire Stencil. I also added a few corrugated cardboard butterflies cut with the Butterflies Die-namics and painted with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence. I also added a little Yellow Gold Metallic Rub-ons to the butterflies and randomly around the page.  The butterflies were embellished with Pink lemonade Buttons tied with Hemp Cord. 

I cut the NEW Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics from Linen paper and stamped the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes with Lemon Drop and Kraft Premium Dye Ink and stamped the stems with Factory Green and Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink.  The Linen dandelions are layered over a Dainty Doily from the Dainty Doily Duo Die-namics cut from Whip Cream Heavyweight Card Stock. I cut a tag with the Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics and stamped a sentiment from the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink and tied it with Hemp Cord bow.

 I also cut the largest Dotted Scallop Border with the NEW Dotted Scallop Border Trio from Linen paper.

I added yet another sweet sentiments from the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes and cut it out with the Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics. I also used the  NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. I didn't adhere the distressed hexagon Stamp to an acrylic block. I just inked it up and held it in my hand and randomly stamped with it around the page.  I used the Notebook Edge Die-namics to cut the edge of the pattern paper.

My Favorite Things Stamps...May New Product Tour...Dotted Scallop Border Trio

Hi Stampin' friends! It's time for the May Release New Product Tour...Whoo hoo! That means ALL the Brand Spankin' NEW Stamps and Die-namics are now available! But before you run off to fill your shopping cart please join us for the May New Product Tour! 

 I have 3 cards to share featuring the NEW Dotted Scallop Border Trio Die-namics! I have also used my fave NEW Blueprints 3 and the fun NEW Happy Hellos Die-namics.  I've made the cards 5X5 with MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in the gorgeous NEW Steel Blue with Lemon Drop and Berrylicious...loving this colour combo and I've paired it with the pretty Pink Paislee Indigo blue 6X6 collection.

 For my first card I've made a pretty pocket full of posies using the Pretty Pocket Stamps and Die-namics and filling the pocket with the sweet flower made with the flower Die-namics from the NEW Blueprints 3! I cut the Pretty Pocket from thin chipboard and pattern paper and added a Dotted Scallop Border as some eyelet lace trim with the NEW Dotted Scallop Border Trio Die-namics. I cut the word "Hi" from the NEW Happy Hellos from thin chipboard and from Lemon Drop Heavyweight Card stock and adhered it to the pocket. The pretty Pocket is layered over the square scallop mat cut with the NEW Mini Album Square Scallop STAX. I used the "Cut and Re-cut" technique to have the scallop edge all the way around the square. 

Here is a detail shot to show the added dimension with the NEW Happy Hellos Die-namics cut from thin chipboard and covered with pretty Lemon Drop Heavyweight Card Stock. Oh, and did you see the cute little "rivets" on the pocket...they are cut with the "reinforcer" die-namics from Blueprints 2. I cut them from metallic Silver Card Stock and embellished with half-pearls! The stitching on the pocket is stamped with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink!

Here is the inside...I used the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks stamped with Kraft Premium Dye Ink. I also used various elements from the NEW Blueprints 3 and of course I used the NEW Dotted Scallop Border Trio. The sentiment is from the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Cheerful Blessings and stamped with the gorgeous NEW Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink.

For my second card I used the largest of the Dotted Scallop Borders in the Trio. I cut them from Lemon Drop heavyweight Card Stock and wrapped them with the gorgeous Lemon Drop Grosgrain Ribbon and added a NEW Steel Blue Button tied with Hemp cord.  I love this scripty "Hi" from the NEW Happy Hellos Die-namics. Again, I cut it with think chipboard and covered it with the NEW Steel Blue Heavyweight Card Stock and I dotted the "i" with a Lemon Drop dot.

Here is the inside...I've added more pretty Lemon Drop Dotted Scallop Borders and the sentiment is from the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Cheerful Blessings stamped with the NEW Steep Blue Premium Dye Ink! 

Here is card # 3...I used the largest of the NEW Dotted Scallop Border Trio cut from Berrylicious, Lemon Drop and the NEW Steel Blue Heavyweight Card Stock. I added another pretty flower cut with the flower Die-namics from the NEW Blueprints 3 and added a Berrylicious Button tied with Hemp Cord. Again, I Cut the pretty scripty "hello" from the NEW Happy Hellos Die-namics from thin chipboard and covered it with Lemon Drop Heavyweight Card Stock. 

Here is the inside...I stamped the sentiment from the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Cheerful Blessings Stamp set in Berrylicious and Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink.  I added a few more Dotted Scallop Borders from the NEW Dotted Scallop Border Trio and a few more pretty flowers cut with the flower Die-namics from the NEW Blueprints 3.

My Favorite Things Stamps...May Teaser Day 7...Pure Innocnce - Farmer Girl!

Today I am sharing two cards that I made with the sweet NEW Pure Innocence - Farmer Girl Stamp set. I've coloured her with up with my Copics and paired her up with the NEW Blueprints 3 Die-namics...I'm SO loving the new Blueprints, a design plan and building blocks in one revolutionary product...simply ingenious! Blueprints 3 is another AMAZING set. I love making large square cards and the Blueprints 3 is perfect for making a 5X5 square card.  I've followed this month's Blueprints sketches. The Blueprints PDF will be available on the MFT blog.  I've also used the NEW Steel Grey Heavyweight Card Stock and paired it with Kraft, Lemon Drop, Berrylicious and Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock. I stamped part of the sentiment from the NEW Pure Innocence - Farmer Girl Stamp Set with the gorgeous NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink.

Here is the inside...I stamped a shadow image of the NEW Pure Innocence - Farmer Girl in the NEW Steel blue Premium Dye Ink and stamped the another sentiment from the NEW PI Farmer Girl Stamp set with the gorgeous NEW Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink.

Here is my second card...again the design is from the Blueprints 3 Sketches PDF that is available on the MFT Blog! I've once again only used MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock. The MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock is SO gorgeous no pattern paper is required to make a great card. Again I have paired the gorgeous NEW Steel Blue Heavyweight Card Stock with the Berrylicious, Lemon Drop and Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock. I stamped only part of one of the sentiments from the NEW Prue Innocence Farmer Girl Stamp set with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock.

Here is the inside...I stamped the shadow image of the sweet NEW PI Farmer Girl in the pretty NEW Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink and stamped the sentiment in the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink.

My Favorite Things Stamps...May Teaser Time - Day 6....Blueprints 3!

Hello Stampin' friends! Welcome to day 6 of the May MFT Teasers! The new May release will be available at My Favorite Things on May 7th at 10 PM EST. All the Release details are available on MFT Blog so be sure to check it out!!!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made with the fabulous NEW Blueprints 3 Die-namics and the gorgeous NEW Lisa Johnson Designs Peaceful Wildflowers. I stamped some of the Wildflowers in the NEW Red Hot Premium Dye ink and the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink on Smooth White Card Stock. Then used the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs Wildflowers Die-namics and stamped the Wildflowers on the die-cuts. 

I actually made my card 5X5. 5 from Black Licorice Heavyweight Card Stock and used the elements in the fabulous NEW Blueprints 3 to achieve a simple colour blocking design! I cut the square mat with the large square die-namics in the New Blueprints 3 Die-namics. I then stamped it with the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs Distressed Background Blocks with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink. I also used the scalloped edge Die-namics from the NEW Blueprints 3 and aligned it to cut along the bottom of the square mat.  I stamped a sentiment from the NEW LJD - Peaceful Wildflowers Stamp set in NEW Red Hot Premium Dye Ink on Sweet Tooth Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the stitched circle from Blueprints 1 and tied it with Hemp cord.

Here is the inside...I stamped another pretty wildflower from the NEW LJD - Peaceful Wildflowers and another sentiment from the same set in the NEW Red Hot Premium Dye Ink and added the dotted border cut from the NEW Steel Blue Heavyweight Card Stock.

My Favorite Things Stamps...Teaser Time Day 5...Doodle Garden - Turtle Girl!

 

Hello stampin' friends! I hope you are enjoying your weekend and enjoying the beautiful sunshine where you are!!! We are just back from our holiday in SUNNY Florida and had a fabulous time at Disney World...our favorite place! I'm SO glad the sun followed us home! 

Well, It's Day 5 of the May MFT Teasers and today we are featuring the NEW Doodle Garden -Turtle Girl, Cheerful Blessings Stamp Set and Heirloom Label Die-namics. For my card today I inked up the NEW Doodle Garden Turtle Girl! She is absolutely adorable...LOVE her to bits and she is a dream to colour! I Made my card 5X5 and used the pretty Secret Crush Pink Paislee 6x6 papers. The card-base is cut from MFT Replenishments Kraft Heavyweight Card Stock and I cut the mat from the lush NEW Steel Blue Heavyweight Cardstock with the large square Die-namics from the fabulous NEW Blueprints 3. I cut the NEW Doodle Garden Turtle Girl out and then popped her up on the NEW Heirloom Label Die-namics. The NEW Blueprints 3 is perfect for making larger 5X5 square cards....my fave! I used the pretty flower Die-namics from the NEW Blueprints 3 Die-namics and added in JellyBean Green leaves and tiny Bubblegum Buttons tied with Hemp Cord to the centers of the flowers. I stamped part of a sentiment from the NEW Doodle Garden - Turtle Girl Stamp set on Kraft Heavyweight Card Stock cut with the little notched ticket from the NEW Blueprints 3.  

Here is a detail shot of the sweet NEW Doodle Garden Turtle Girl coloured with Copic markers! I think my fave little detail is coordinating the flower in her hair with the pattern paper flowers embellishments. I added the white dots to the coloured flower with a Uni-ball Signo White Gel pen.

And here is the inside...I stamped the NEW Doodle Garden Turtle Girl again in MFT Factory Green Premium Dye Ink. I used the NEW Heirloom Label Die-namics, the NEW Blueprints 3 to make the sentiment panel. I stamped the sentiment from the NEW DG Turtle Girl Stamp set with the NEW Steel Blue Premium Dye Ink.

My Favorite Things Stamp...Teaser Time Day 2...Mini Album Square Scallop STAX Die-namics

Thanks SO much for stopping by I've made another mini album again this month with the fabulous NEW Mini Album Square Scallop STAX Die-namics! I'm loving making mini albums with the NEW Mini Album STAX Die-namics...such a great concept!  So, I wanted to preserve the photos that I have from my daughter's Confirmation last year. I didn't have a lot of pics to work with, so a mini album was the perfect way to preserve the precious memories and the few pics that I have of this special day! I used only MFT  Replenishments Heavyweight card stock for the album...yup, NO pattern paper here and I LOVE it!

I started by cutting 4 pages with the NEW Mini Album Square Scallop STAX Die-namics from thin chipboard and cut the MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock to cover each page, in Red Hot, Steel Grey, Black Licorice and the gorgeous NEW Steel Blue. I also used Sweet Tooth and Smooth White Heavyweight Card Stock for matting and die-cutting. I used the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Cheerful Blessings and NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Peaceful Wildflowers and NEW Wildfowers Die-namics to add sentiments and embellishments throughout the album.

To make the pattern on the cardstock I stamped with the beautiful NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, these new stamps by fellow MFT Designer Mona Pendleton and I inked all the edges of the album with Mixed Media Inx in Jasmine. I also used the fabulous NEW Blueprints 3 Die-namics...so many gorgeous elements in this set...including this beautiful flowers Die-namics.

We also have a trending chalkbaord art set called Chalkboard Greetings and it's this month's Triple Scoop...I LOVE this set and had SO much fun making my chalkbaord sign...I cut Black Licorice with the Vertical Greetings Die-namics and stamped with ClearSnap Ghoast White ink and heat embossed with Zing White Embossing powder. I then inked up the stamp again with the White ink and the slightly stamped off the image creating the shadow. I also added a little doodling with a white PrismaColor pencil. The heart is from the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Cheerful Blessings. I added a little bouquet of the Wildfowers with the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Peaceful Wildflowers and Wildflowers Die-namics. I stamped with the NEW MFT Premium Dye Ink in Red Hot and Steel Blue.

Here I used elements from the NEW Blueprints 3 Die-namics (did I say I LOVE these sweet flowers form the Blueprints 3 Die-namics?!) and I also used the Fishtail Flags and Fishtail Layers STAX Die-namics. I adore this sentiment from the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Cheerful Blessings.

I cut the tag from the Blueprints 2 Die-namics and stamped another sweet sentiment from the NEW Lisa Johnson Designs - Cheerful Blessings...I distressed it a bit with the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Distressed Background Blocks and added another cute flower from the NEW Blueprints 3 Die-namics with a Steel Grey Button.

I think this is my favorite page in the album...Hannah with her friends Emily and Gillian after their Confirmation.  I used the NEW Chalkboard Greetings ( This month's Triple Scoop) and cut the NEW Vertical Frame Die-namics from thin chipboard and covered it with Black Licorice and Red Hot Heavyweight Card Stock.

Here is Hannah with her Sponsor and our good family friend, Amanda. I used the NEW Mini Album Square Scallop STAX to create the scalloped mat using the 'Cut and Re-Cut" technique. I cut the Red Hot Heavweight Card Stock with the Square STAX and then stamped in Red Hot Premium Dye Ink with the NEW Mona Pendleton Designs - Dandelion Wishes. It adds a subtle detail but I love the tone on tone affect.

And this is the back cover of the album...I cut the NEW Insert It - 3 X 4 Notepad and stamped it with the LLD Journal It - For the Record.  I also used stamps from the LLD Document It - Off the Chart and LLD Journal It - Graph Paper Notes.

So, I inked up the adorable Pure Innocence - Little Gardener Stamp set...isn't she the cutest?! Love her to bits! I coloured her with my Copics and paired her with some MFT Replenishments Heavyweight Card Stock in Electric Red (my fave) Kraft and Night Shift Blue. I also used some Simple Stories pattern papers. I stamped the sentiment from the Pure Innocence - Little Gardener Stamp with Electric Red Premium Dye Ink and cut it out with stitched circle from the Blueprints 1 Die-namics punched a hole in it to make it a tag and tied it with my fave Hemp cord!
